LulaClips Review – Great Car Seat Accessory

Jan 10, 2012 by

With the cold weather comes bundling up in coats.  I never appreciated how much more difficult it is go get children bundled up and into the car to go out somewhere, until I had my own.  Last year it was a breeze, A.C. was only 6 months old and not moving around too much yet.  He was still in the infant car seat, so we just used a car seat cover to keep him warm. Easy.As.Pie.  Fast forward to this year… A.C. is now 18 months old, in the Stage 2 car seat, and is one squirmy worm.  This makes it much more interesting trying to get him in and out of the car without inducing a fit of screaming.  One of the things I fought with most when A.C. moved up to the Stage 2 car seat was the straps always falling in behind him, and having to dig them out while trying to work quickly to get him strapped into his car seat before he tried to escape.

I was thrilled when I came across the LulaClips at Peace of Mind Baby.  LulaClips are designed to make your life as a mom just a little bit easier – they are there to offer an extra set of “hands” to help you get your child in and out of the car seat.  They attach to the car seat via child proof safety pin, and they have a magnet inside for you to attach the buckle to them to help keep the harness out of the way.  You can see how they work in this video:

I tried out my set of LulaClips on my Eddie Bauer Car Seat, and I really liked them.  Attaching LulaClips was quick and easy, and with the child proof safety pin, there is no way they are coming off until you remove them.  I attached them lower then what they shows on their website, as I found it a better position to hold the clips and get A.C. loaded into the car.  Even if the straps do get knocked off during loading, they are beside A.C. not under him, they truly have made it a little easier in this winter weather to get A.C. in and out of the car.

The clips are strong and durable, and when we were testing them out to find the best placement I was happy to see that you could not even see the spots where they had been pinned previously.  LulaClips have also been given the PTPA seal of approval.
I am done digging for car seat straps under A.C. – LulaClips are one of the best car seat accessories that I have seen!

That's a great idea! Funny how things change! When my kids were little, they didn't even have the car seat regulations! Crazy I know. Now there are all these wonderful seats and accessories to help keep baby safe and work with mom. SASS
