Fact: Toddlers are dirty #HealthyFamilies
A.C. is in prime toddler discovery mode. He is fully mobile, able to climb and reach for things (he shouldn’t have), and wants to get into EVERYTHING. All of which is wonderful for his sense of independence and learning about the world around him. BUT… toddlers are dirty. Even after you give them a bath they can’t seem to stay clean for longer than 5 minutes afterwards.
We spend a lot of time playing outside in the evenings which means lots of opportunity to “help” in the gardens, find lady bugs & snails, and play in the bird bath. All of which are great ways to have fun outside and learn about the environment, but they are also great ways to get messy and covered in germs.
Although A.C. can use a fork & spoon to eat, there are many times he still uses his hands to eat. With my background in microbiology I cringe to think about everything that is on his hands by the end of the day. That is why we have started to get into the habit that no matter what we have been doing, we wash our hands before dinner. I know a little bit of dirt won’t hurt him, but I would like build good habits now which become especially important during cold & flu season.

I gave up on that long ago. LOL. I figure germs are a natural part of life. They will live, or they will have the strongest immune systems EVER!
I love the idea of these no-touch dispensers. We'll have to try and win one! Thanks for sharing!
I think these no touch dispensers are fantastic!
I agree with Lisa… gave up long time ago… more fun to have fun and clean up in the tub at night.
I don't even fight it. I just clean them up at the end of play time. My kids live in the dirt, I swear.
I love my no-touch dispenser! It's how I convince my daughter to wash her hands – the “magic” pump!
I've given my preschooler his own dirt garden! Does that make me a good Mom or a crazy one?!
They love dirt don't they?
I love the idea of the no touch dispensers. I've been thinking of picking up one for our house.
My children love to get dirty too. It's in their nature!
I love my Lysol No Touch dispenser. I'm getting them for all my kids for Christmas this year…ok so maybe it's a lame gift, but I think that they are way cool!
