Picnic Time with Lavish & Lime
Picnics: one of the defining activities of summer. From food favorites like pasta salad and watermelon, to spending the afternoon outside enjoying the sun, picnics are a perfect way to spend the day. Lavish & Lime, a Canadian company, offers a great selection of products to help you make sure that your picnic is not only fun, but easy on the environment as well. With easy waste-free lunch solutions you will be on your way to a fun filled picnic in no time!
Lavish & Lime generously provided me with everything we needed for a perfect backyard picnic which included a Glass Water Bottle, LunchBots Stainless Steel Container, and a RuMe Snack Bag.
The RuMe Snack Bag is made of water resistant translucent polyester and is machine washable. Perfect for carrying fruit & veggies or crackers the RuMe is easy to open with a zipper closure. Available in 3 colours the RuMe is perfect for picnics or for packing a lunch for work.
Lifefactory Glass Water Bottles provide the functionality you are looking for while giving you the comfort of knowing that there will be no chemicals leaching into your drinks. The flip cap is easy to use, A.C. had it figured out in 3 seconds flat, and is leak proof. However the lid does not lock in place, so just be aware that it could get knocked open. The protective silicone sleeve ensures that this water bottle is durable even when dropped. I love that this water bottle has a wide mouth, it was easy to fill it up with ice to keep our drinks cool even on the hottest day. My only issue with the bottle is that it is a bit larger than the standard cup holder size, therefore when going for a walk with the stroller we carried it in the basket, rather than in the cup holder. The Lifefactory Water Bottles are available in a great selections of colours, the hardest part will be deciding which one you want.
LunchBots Stainless Steel Food Containers are great for transporting food of all shape and sizes. Available in 4 sizes these durable light weight containers are the perfect picnic companion. I love that the “Pico” is divided up into 2 sections allowing you to combine foods in one container. The lids fit on securely, but these containers are not water tight so they are not recommended for liquids.
