Back to School with Staples

Aug 15, 2012 by

“Day 44” was the first thing my sister-in-law said to me when she walked in the door this weekend for a visit.  You see she is a teacher, home for the summer with my nephews (8 & 10 years old) and it was day 44 of the summer break.  Needless to say by this time in the summer she is very much looking forward to “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” – Back to School.
As August winds down thoughts of summer camp and trips to the beach change to back to school shopping and making lunches.  This school year will mark a significant milestone for my younger sister – her last year of high school.  Now you may think by this stage back to school shopping would be a breeze but there is still lots to think about - Binders, calculators, pens, back packs, MP3 players because you need music for the school bus.
Staples offers a great selection of products for back to school for all ages.  From crayons & markers to binders & electronics Staples has them all at affordable prices (check out their price match policy).  Staples put together a Back-To-School Essentials kit for my sister, and I was very impressed with the selection & quality of products available.  Check out some of the must have items for teens heading back to school this year:
·          Backpacks – I LOVE this backpack (shhh don’t tell my sister but I took it on my trip to BlogHer and it was amazing).  The padded straps and breathable mesh panels made it comfortable to wear even when stuffed full trying to navigate my way through a hot sticky day in NYC.  It offers lots of storage space and has a padded laptop pocket as well

·         Binder & Matching Pencil case – I love the cute designs available for binders, let teens express themselves by picking out a design that fits their personality

·         Dressing up your locker has never been easier with Dudley accessories and Locker Gear.  The wipe board and calendar are also perfect for writing down those important little reminders like “Test on Friday!!!”

·        Sharp Calculator – there is no way to get through upper level math without a great calculator.  This Sharp Calculator has 2 lines of display which makes figuring out what you just did when you get an answer that makes no sense so much easier (not that I ever had that happen to me in math….)
So when it is time for back to school shopping, head to Staples to pick up all of your supplies for another great year ahead.

Since D is in SK this year, he still doesn't need to bring his own supplies. He is still using the same backpack as last year and hasn't outgrown his shoes, yet. So, I just have to supply him with “classroom” supplies, like Kleenex and glue sticks – which the teacher stockpiles in order to have enough for the whole year.

  31. Lots of coloring pencils!
