Are you getting enough vitamin D? Ddrops makes it easy!

Sep 5, 2012 by

Have you noticed it already??? It sneaks up on me every year whether I like it or not… The days are getting shorter  :o (

When my alarm goes off at 5:50am the sun is no longer rising inviting me to start my day, instead it is still dark out lulling me back to sleep while I hit snooze “one more time” (you can still call it that after the third time right?!?).
Less sun means less vitamin D.  Or if you are like me and work in an office building all day, it is unlikely that you were getting much vitamin D from exposure to the sun anyways.  Fall is the perfect time to make sure the whole family is getting enough vitamin D, and that is where D Drops come in!  D Drops make getting enough vitamin D anytime of the year a breeze.  These tasteless drops come in formulas for the whole family
·         Baby Ddrops (400 IU)
·         Kids Ddrops (400 IU)
·         Ddrops (1000 IU)

Vitamin D has been shown to play an important role the immune system, preventing chronic illness and cancer, growth and development of bones.  Studies have also shown that vitamin D can reduce the risk of premature birth, something that I take very seriously these days.

Every member of the family from a newborn baby to mom & dad need vitamin D.  The recommended daily intake of vitamin D is:
·         Breastfed Infants – 400 IU
·         Children & Adolescents – 400 IU
·         Adults – 400 IU
·         Adults with low vitamin D or during the fall/winter months – 1,000 IU
·         Pregnant women – 2000 IU
2 drops and I have my vitamin D for the day!

Ddrops makes it SO EASY to make sure I am getting all the vitamin D I need during my pregnancy.  I keep my drops beside my tooth brush and after brushing my teeth at night I take 2 drop and don’t have to think about it again.
When A.C. was in the NICU he hated getting his vitamin drops, it is amazing how someone so small can make their displeasure known so easily.  Our pediatrician recommended Baby Ddrops to us, as it literally only takes a drop and since they are tasteless babies don’t make a fuss over them.  We switched to Baby Ddrops the day we brought A.C. home from the hospital and never looked back.

  1. love Ddrops – it's so easy to get in the daily recomended amount!

  2. Great post. D drops sound great. I have never used them. I often use adult essentials but you are right vitamin D is necessary for everyone.

  3. On June 22 every.single.year, My Dad calls me up to remind me that the days are starting to get shorter. Thankfully he does the same thing in December. I like that you can get your vitamins without having to sit in the sun.

  4. My little one gets D drops. She has asthma and there is some evidence to suggest that a lack of vitamin D can make asthma symptoms worse…

  5. We use these drops every single day for our kids. They don't know it but someday they'll understand, lol.

  6. Vitamin D is so important! Love D-drops! So quick and simple! Thank you for sharing!!

  7. I sometimes wonder if we should add these to our daily routine. I know I could probably benefit from them. But we already take our daily gummy vitamins from Iron Kids/Adult Essentials.

  8. I can remember giving these drops to my babies, but, I've never thought to take them myself. Thanks for giving me something to think about.

  9. Yes! Baby Ddrops are so much easier to use with a baby than other brands. My OH was being cheap when I sent him out and bought another brand. Ummm yeah… trying to get a baby to take a full mL and not spit it out was a lot of fun. Ddrops are a lifesaver!
