New friends from babyGUND

There is a little baby boom going on in the Little Miss Kate world these days.  It seems like on a weekly basis I am getting phone calls and emails about someone else who is expecting.  An exciting time for all of the parents to be that is for sure!  It also gets me thinking about the upcoming baby showers and welcome to the world gifts I will need to buy.
When putting together a gift for a baby I like to combine the practical and functional items that every parent needs, with fun and cute items.  That is one reason I love the line of babyGUND blankies – cute and functional!
The GUND brand of plush toys has been around in my household for a long as I can remember.  My favorite bear as a child, Fuzzi the polar bear, is from the GUND line.  Fuzzi and I have been though a lot in the almost 30 years I have had him – camping trips, sleep overs, food spills (oops!).  He has always stood up to the test and proven to be durable and easy to clean.  I was excited to have the opportunity to review products from the babyGUND line: Cozy Comfy and HuggyBuddy.

Comfy Cozy Blankets come in a great variety of characters, and this oval blanket (21″x18″) is the perfect size for infants to lay on and to take on the go.  I love the bright colors of the Lilly Lady Bug, this would be a great “tummy time” blanket as it offers a bit of padding for little ones who are just starting to learn head control.  And of course hubby being the oh so practical one pointed out it is also the perfect size for a cat bed.

HuggyBuddy‘s make a perfect “lovey” for babies and toddlers.  When A.C. was in the NICU one of the first gift he got was a lovey a lot like the Lilly Bug HuggyBuddy to keep him company.  The soft fluffy outside and satin underside make this a great cuddle friend.

Either of these cuddly friends, or so many others from the GUND line would make great gifts for a new baby.  You never know, they might still have there favorite one almost 30 years later like me!
