Shopping Redefined at #SearsBabysRoom
I have mentioned before how different this pregnancy has been so different then 2.5 years ago when I was pregnant with A.C. From the nausea, to the way this baby moves, to making it well past 32 weeks this time around in so many ways it feels like I in completely new territory this time around. What I didn’t expect to be different was how I would shop for baby #2. For A.C. we had the typical baby registry and did some quick shopping after his surprise arrival. Finding what I was looking for was not always easy and meant making trips to multiple stores to get what I wanted.
Nursery – the selection and displays of all of the different cribs and bedding options was excellent. I loved that not only did they have all the main pieces available in store to look at (Cribs, change tables, dressers, and rockers you could sit in and test out!), but also many accessories including rugs, wall decals and lamps. We searched for a month to find a rug for A.C.’s room after he was born, it is wonderful to see them in store now.
Travel – This is the area I was most excited about. Shopping for car seats and strollers is one of the most difficult purchases parents have to make. The Sears Baby’s Room offers a great selection across all price points, and I was thrilled to see one of my favorite car seat brands, Diono, available in store. But the highlight of my who tour was the baby wearing section – I LOVE that the Baby’s Room now offers a greater selection of carriers, and has them wonderfully displayed for parents to decide which one is right for them.
Feeding – This section has been greatly expanded to include everything from breast pumps and bottle sterilizers to steamers and blenders for when you want to start making your own baby food. I was intrigued by the Yogurt Maker, as that is one of A.C.’s favorite snacks and it might be neat to try to make myself. I also loved seeing more reusable and green options available at Sears Baby’s Room including Itsy Ritzy Reusable Snack Bags!
And of course Sears Baby’s Room had a great selection of gift ideas and clothing. One stop shopping for all of you gift giving needs. And right now at Sears Baby’s Room they are having theEverything Baby Sale, making it a perfect time to start your Christmas shopping. This sale runs until Oct 25th, so make sure you head into your local Sears store or shop online to take advantage of some great savings.
So the big questions is what did I buy from Sears Baby’s Room for baby #2??? Well up until my visit to Sears I had only spent a total of $3 at a garage sale on items for baby #2!!! I have been trying to be restrained, and am a little superstitious about shopping too early for babies. But now that I am at 35 weeks I just couldn’t help myself and came home with 3 new sleepers…
I really enjoyed my shopping experience at the Sears Baby’s Room, they have made some amazing improvements since I was shopping for A.C.. I can’t wait to be able to head back to do more shopping once Baby #2 arrives. Who knows, maybe I will even be able to buy some dresses this time!

So much great stuff. I love shopping for baby
Awwwww! I LOVE The Baby Room! I was at the Sears near us and even though my “baby” is going to be turning 4 soon, I LOVE shopping for baby stuff! Thank goodness so many of my friends are expecting! So fun!
I used to love shopping in Sears when I was pregnant. It seemed like everything was pretty and soft and…now you made me want a baby so I can go buy sleepers. My husband says “Thanks”
We were at Sears this weekend and both Hubby and I commented on how awesome the Baby Room is now. When we were preggers it was disorganized and stressful, what a change.
oh cute little sleepers! I love shopping for babies!
Thanks for this great post about Sears! My cousin will be having a baby in the new year, and it would be great for me to purchase some items for her in a store that's laid out in an organized fashion. I will check out their new layout!

I love the way they have little walls around the nursery sample rooms! It really helps to get an idea of how your nursery could look.
I agree loves the “walls” in the furniture section – makes a big difference! Sears also has great freebies year round in their portrait studio for baby pics. We have taken advantage of these several times!
