Fun with the family – Rice Krispies Holiday Treats
Make Christmas decorations is fun, but make edible Chiristmas decorations… well that is just delicious!!! And that is just what we did when friends were visiting for the Christmas holidays. What better way to keep the kids entertained than to make some Rice Krispies Holiday Treats and have the kids decorate them. Rice Krispies are not only a favourite snack, but they can also be used as decorations and ornaments too!
With this batch of Rice Krispies Holiday Treats I decided to use the Vanilla Rice Krispies and WOW! They were so tasty I had to make sure that hubs didn’t eat them all before we had a chance to decorate them. The kids had a blast using decorative icing, smarties, sprinkles and candy canes to make cute creations that not only looked good but tasted good too.
We even used cookie cutters to cut out different shapes to decorate. Once the kids were done everything was packaged up so that they could take them home to display or enjoy as a snack later.

I thought about doing this yesterday but I couldn’t find any decorative icing at the store. Have to look again because it seems like such a fun activity for kids.
Your treats turned out super cute! I still have to do this with my kids. Maybe this weekend. We love Rice Krispie treats. Always loved them when I was growing up too.
