We all take a lot of photos, now it is time so show them off! I created this cute DIY Photo Display Picture Frame that allows you to showcase your photos and easily update them as you get new prints. With Mother’s Day coming up this would make a perfect gift for Grandma as well. You could give her new prints to update her frame at her birthday and holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
This DIY Photo Display Picture Frame was easy to make, and by switching up the decorative paper background you can have the perfect frame to match any pictures. The possibilities with this are endless as you could create a different configuration depending on the size of prints you like. For this project I used 4×4 prints (“Instagram” prints if you will) that I order from Blacks using their mobile Blacks Photo App. I was able to pick up a 10×10 frame at Blacks when I picked up my photos that was perfect for the project. I was able to find the mini clothes pegs at my local craft store and used scrap book paper for the background. I was able to get everything I needed for this project for under $20, making it an affordable and heartfelt gift idea.
Here is what you need to create your own Photo Display Picture Frame:
- Picture Frame – I used a 10×10 frame
- Prints – mine are 4×4
- Decorative paper – such as scrapbook paper to fit inside your frame
- Mini clothes pegs
- Glue Gun and glue sticks
1 – Cut out your decorative paper in right size to fit inside your frame. You can use the matte or the glass as a template for size. Once cut out place the decorative paper back into the frame and replace the back.
2 – Decide on where you would like your pictures to go and mark the desired locations of the clothes pegs on the glass with a washable marker
4 – Gently open the pegs and place your picture in the desired location
5 – Display your photos proudly in your home and update frequently to show off new photos and special family memories
