Things I love about being back at work:
- Enjoying seeing and talking with my coworkers on a daily basis
- Feeling like I am being productive and making a difference with the work that I do
- Taking on new challenges and learning new skills
Things I hate about being back at work:
- Making lunches
Yep, the think I dislike most about being back at work is the scramble to come up with food to take to work every day. I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like once I need to make lunches for the boys to take to school! I do try to make things easier on myself by freezing leftovers from dinner, or having humus & pita on hand. Let’s just say I am not very creative in the lunch department. There is at least a couple of mornings a week where I am left running around trying to figure out what I am going to eat that day.
I do allow myself a break once a week, a special treat of sorts, of buying my lunch. Not only does it get me out of my building for a few minutes that day, but it saves me from the morning panic of “what am I taking to work today”. One of my favorite places to go grab a bite to eat is Tim Hortons. Not only is it close to work, but they have a great selection of sandwiches and bagels so there is something that I like no matter what mood I am in. Last week I had the chance to try the Extreme Italian Sandwich. Made on a delicious Parmesan and herbed-topped bun this sandwich is good to the last bite! Stacked with layers of ham capicollo, genoa salami, and pepperoni the Extreme Italian Sandwich is made fresh to order and delivers on its name. And a just under $5, this is a lunch break I can afford to take!

The giveaway has ended, but here is what some of the winners had to say about the Extreme Italian Sandwich:
This sandwich is jam packed with different meats, creating a really filling meal with tons of flavour. I loved the way the sauce and cheese complemented each other but my favorite part was the bread. The parmesan and herb bread tasted so fresh and flavourful, I wish I could buy the buns separately to use at home! – J.H.
I tried the Extreme Italian Sandwiches in December, and found it to be really tasty. I liked the selection of meats and cheese, and the yummy sauce, but I think the best part was the Parmesan herb bun. – S.H.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of meat in this sandwich–ham, salami and pepperoni. The flavours of the meat work well with the mozzarella cheese, tomato, lettuce and creamy sauce. The bun was soft and very tasty with herbs and parmesan on top. Overall, this was a flavourful sandwich which I would definitely order again. It was filling and satisfying. – A.M.
I just ate the Extreme Italian Sandwich from Tim Horton’s today for lunch and it was delicious.
All the meat and fresh toppings of lettuce, tomato and cheese made it very tasty.
The parmesan and herbed topped bun made it unique. I thought the sandwich was satisfying
and filling and I would definatly recommend this sandwich to others wishing to try something
different! – A.C.
I really liked the portion size and I was surprised by the amount of lunch meat on it. There was a lot on there 🙂 The lettuce was crisp, I really enjoyed the sauce. This was a good hardy sandwich and I would definitely buy this again. -E.G.
