Do you skate? I do, but not very well. I am the one holding the boards as I “skate” around the rink. However I have always LOVED to watch figure skating – the jumps, the spins… all magic on ice. I remember going to see skating shows as a child and being amazed the skaters and the whole atmosphere. Recently I had the opportunity to take the family to see Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove. It was a magical show filled with some of my favourite Disney Movies.
From the moment the show started my 4 year old was captivated my the music, the lights and the live action. As Mickey and Minnie lead us through musical snippets of several Disney movies there were a couple of stand out moments during the show. The choreography and costumes for The Lion King literally took my breath away. They were able to bring all of the suspense, emotion and action of the movie to the ice.
My little guys enjoyed the high flying entertainment as part of Aladdin, and I wished the Little Mermaid skit was longer as it was done well and the costumes were vibrant and colourful.
We had a wonderful afternoon out as a family and the kids loved seeing some of their favorite Disney characters. Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove is continuing its tour across North America and you can find more information on their website.
March Break will be here before we know it! Do you know what you are going to do to keep the kids busy during the week? Disney On Ice Presents Frozen will be coming to town and is a perfect way to entertain the kids for a afternoon. Tickets are available for as little as $28 and the show runs from March 18-22, 2015 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
