Preparations for Christmas are in full swing. Many cities are hosting their Christmas Tree Lighting Celebrations and Santa Claus Parades. I am looking forward enjoying some of my local celebrations with the kids this weekend. As part of our Christmas preparations we are also getting ready around our house. Now growing up my Grandma knew how to set a table for a family dinner. Complete with candles, that always drove my Grandpa crazy because they did not give off enough light, and white table cloth and napkins, to a child it looked perfectly put together. I am proud to say that for the first time as an adult I think I have a table that would rival my Grandma’s. And if if I say so myself, it is a table fit for dinner with Santa.
This festive look was easy to create and I was able to pick up everything I needed from my local Canadian Tire. The CANVAS line has everything you need to decorate your house for the holidays. Lets take a closer look at my Christmas dinner table decor.
I can’t tell you how much I love the festive red of the CANVAS Easton Dinnerware set. I paired the plates with the 20 piece CANVAS Atlas Flatware set. Together on top of a crisp white table cloth I think they look stunning.
Ornaments just aren’t for the Christmas tree. To finish off the table setting I placed a folded napkin inside the bowl and placed an ornament on top. This is an easy way to help decorate your table without having to break the bank.
Of course we can’t forget the drinks to go along with dinner. The CANVAS stemless wine glasses are perfect for my house as they are not easily knocked over by little hands. They can be used for wine for the grown ups and milk for the kids.
I easily created this beautiful centerpiece using the CANVAS Hurricane Vase and shatter proof ornaments. I filled the vase with the ornaments and placed it on the CANVAS Acacia Wood lazy Susan inside a wreath to give additional depth and height. Best of all this centerpiece could be easy moved from the table and displayed on a coffee table or mantle fur use all season long.
When it comes time for dessert I can easily switch out the centerpiece and bring in the CANVAS 3-Tier Slate Serving Stand to serve all of the delicious Christmas baking that I do every year.
I love how the table came together, and that I was able to get everything in one stop at Canadian Tire. If you are in need of a little holiday inspiration check out the Canadian Tire Website for all the Christmas decor options.
