Cereal for Breakfast, Cereal for Lunch…

Kelloggs11
There are few things as versatile as cereal – you can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner (or all 3 like back in my university days), eat it as a snack, cook with it, or bake with it.  Rice Krispie Squares are a staple in our house, as they are one of JAMs favorite treats.  A.C. is following in daddy’s foot steps and devours as many as we will let him have.

The cereal selection from Kellogg’s expands far beyond Rice Krispies.  One of my favorites is Special K Oats & Honey.  Add some blueberries or a banana and it is a perfect breakfast before I run off to work. I also enjoy their line of cereal bars –perfect for tossing in my bag as I run out the door.  Plus they offer some great varieties like Cherry Pomegranate, and All Bran Chocolate Chip so you will never get bored.  And if you are ever curious to learn about the nutritional value of Kelloggs productions you can visit Kelloggs nutrition for all the details.
Here are a couple of fun Kelloggs facts:

  • 1914 – Kellogg’s Corn Flakes are introduced to Canada – today they can be found in over 180 countries around the world
  • 1969 – Kellogg’s was honoured to provide breakfast for the Apollo 11 mission to the moon
  • Tony the Tiger is over 60 years old – I think Tony is looking grrrrreat for his age!

Kellogg’s was kind enough to send me a sampling of their products as part of their Kelloggers program, which included several of their cereals, along with cereal bars, a t-shrit and two awesome bowls.
I know the cereals won’t last long around here the mini wheats and Special K are already half gone!  Do you eat a lot of cereal in your house?  What cereals disappear before you know it in your house?
Disclosure:  I was sent these complimentary products as part of the Kelloggers Network
