It is hard to believe that summer is over! Back in May I remember thinking of all the things I wanted to accomplish this summer before Roo (baby #3) arrived in September. Everything from trips and activities I wanted to do with the kids to projects around the house we wanted to take on. Well the summer of 2014 didn’t disappoint in creating memories that are made to last. Here is a rundown of some of our summertime highlights:
- My goal #1 for the summer was to stay pregnant all summer long – Completed!!! Now at 37 weeks pregnant (full-term) I am looking forward to the final countdown to meeting the newest member of our family. Hubs and I went for maternity photos last week, as I wanted to capture what is very likely my last pregnancy. Here are a couple of my favorite photos
- Day Trip adventures to the Toronto Zoo, Canada’s Wonderland, African Lion Safari, and Day Out with Thomas – We may not have been able to go on a big family vacation like I was hoping too, but we still had lots of family adventures.
- A Day at the Beach – we took the boys to the beach for the first time! I was pleasantly surprised at how well they played and listened while we were there, and that it was not too crowded. I am looking forward to more beach days next year!
With this summer over I am already looking forward to next summer! We will have more freedom to travel (with 3 kids in tow of course!) and I am already making a short list of places we might visit. This summer has been one to remember for sure. Want a fun way to capture your summer memories? What adventures did you go on this summer? Any suggestions for family friendly cities that you have visited either in Canada or the USA?
