The kids and I were talking the other day about everyone’s favourite furry little monster. They didn’t believe me when I said Elmo wasn’t always Elmo. I am so old I remember when Elmo was known as “Baby Monster” on Sesame Street. It was not until the mid 1980’s that he became the Elmo we all know and love, and has been a hit with the kids ever since. Elmo is the character that kids can most identify with. He is learning the same things as them, and finds the same things fascinating that they do. Also he is pretty lovable and friendly.
In our house, Monkey loved Elmo! Why? Because Elmo is his favourite colour – RED! When planning a summer vacation 2 years ago we made sure to take a trip to Sesame Place near Philadelphia. We were able to create some awesome family memories, and to take our love of Elmo to a whole new level.
My kids would love to have their own personal Elmo to talk and play with, so I think the Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo will be a hit with Elmo and Sesame Street fans. This Elmo is a squeezable friend to cuddle and to play with. Elmo loves to talk, talk, talk (just like my boys) and the Play All Day Elmo is no different. He has over 150 responses, as well as 8 games and activities that he can play with your child. Elmo has 2 modes of play to encourage both Toddler and Preschool children to have fun with him. So if you get this for your toddler, they won’t outgrow it within a few months.
After all the fun of playing all day, when you are trying to get your little one to settle down and sleep, it’s Elmo to the rescue! Your little one just needs to squeeze Elmo’s nose and he will play your child some gentle lullabies, and add in a second squeeze of his nose, and it will play soothing instrumental lullabies.
