“Wanna play LEGOS?” – I have lost count the number of times I have heard that phase today alone. Doesn’t matter if it is first thing in the morning or right before bed, playing with LEGO DUPLO is one of A.C.’s favourite play time activities. And what is not to love about LEGO DUPLO?
There are so many ways to play with LEGO DUPLO, there really are no limits to what you can build and create all while having tons of fun in the process. A.C.’s fine motor skills have come along way since we took part in the 30 days of Play Challenge, and he can build complex structures all on his own now. It has been amazing to watch A.C. learn with LEGO DUPLO and he doesn’t even know that it is a “lesson”. From picking out colours to making patterns it is all fun and games to him. One of my favourite parts of watching A.C. play with his LEGO DUPLO is that it is interactive – anyone who comes into our house is invited to play. Watching him play with friends and Aunts & Uncles has been really special experience, creating memories that we won’t forget.
When we received a LEGO DUPLO Bricks and Books set – “Grow Caterpillar Grow” I knew it would be an instant hit. Reading plus playing with LEGO DUPLO at the same time, A.C. would be in heaven. And I was not wrong, he was super excited from the moment I opened the package. However I didn’t expect for him to be able to pick out every single piece we needed as we went through the book and to be able to build the characters with minimal help. He named all of the colours and fit the pieces together himself. Who knew all I needed was some LEGO DUPLO to help him get all of his colours sorted out!
