Even though I love my cloth diapers, there are some times where disposables are just easier. When we are home or going out for a trip to the mall I am all for cloth diapers. However a 5 day vacation in the US…. well that is just not practical for me no matter how much I love my fluff. It is times like those that I break out my Seventh Generation Disposable Diapers.
So what is different about Seventh Generation Disposable Diapers? They have no fragrances, latex, petroleum-based lotions or chlorine processing. When Monkey was a baby we went on a trip and I bought a back of regular disposable diapers and after 3 days of wearing them he developed a rash around his legs. Since then if I am going to be using disposable diapers for a couple of days we use Seventh Generation diapers and have never had a problem with rashes or reactions. No need to worry about compromising fit or absorbancy, these diapers perform just as well as the other leading brands of disposable diapers. If you had an extra heavy wetter Seventh Generation does offer overnight diapers which offer extra absorbancy. I have never had a leak out of the regular Seventh Generation diapers even when we use them overnight, but it is good that there are options out there for babies that may need that extra protection.
A must have for any mom is baby wipes, and Seventh Generation has you covered there too! They offer a line of wipes with plant-derived ingredients; no alcohol, synthetic cleaners, dyes or fragrances. Their wipes are whitened without chemicals containing chlorine. We avoid fragrances in our house, I don’t need things to be scented “fresh” or “clean”, I would rather them just be those things.
If you are looking for a greener option for disposable diapers, be sure to check out Seventh Generation diapers. They are available at many major retailers including Real Canadian Superstore (that is where I buy mine!).
