Does your Hubby know that Mother’s Day is coming up in less than 3 weeks. Have you started to drop hints about what you would like as a gift for Mother’s Day? Relaxing bath products? Some new clothes? Something for the garden or kitchen? This year I knew exactly what I wanted: a new diaper bag. Not too big, not too small and for it not to look too much like a diaper bag. I wanted the perfect diaper bag for me, since the one we had been using is too small for 2 kids. Although Hubs appreciated me giving him a suggestion for a Mother’s day gift he did not feel confident that he would pick out the right one. We decided to take a family trip to Target Canada so that we could shop together.
The first thing I did when we arrived was apply for a REDcard. The REDcard allows you to save 5% on your purchases everyday! It was quick to apply and now I just need to wait for my Target Debit Card to arrive by mail to start saving. I have really enjoyed shopping at Target since the stores opened and this trip was no exception. The staff are friendly and helpful, the stores clean and uncluttered. We headed off to the Baby section in search of the diaper bags. Quickly found one that was exactly what I was looking for. The Skip Hop Diaper Bag was a little more expensive then one that I would normally buy, but it did have all the features I was looking for, and hey it’s my Mother’s Day present! Monkey made sure to put it in the cart for me along with some of our other purchases.
We also stopped by the seasonal section. We are in need of new outdoor furniture this year. Both Monkey and Little Bear found pieces that they liked! I am going to have to start saving up so we buy them, and get rid of our old set. There also a great selection of gardening tools and planters that would make perfect gifts for moms that garden.
Next we headed on over to housewares to pick up a Mother’s Day gift for Grandma. Monkey loves his Grandmas pumpkin bread, but her loaf pans are showing their age. We decided to pick up a new set of loaf pans as part of her gift.
Monkey had so much fun walking around the store picking out presents and cards, and I know it took some pressure off Hubs too. Plus I got exactly what I wanted for mothers day! You can find the rest of the pictures from our Target Canada Shopping trip in this G+ photo album. If you have not let your husband know what you want for mothers day you should start thinking about it. Or take the whole family of shopping trip to make sure you get just what you want!
